Lower Curtis Ridge

If you continue to follow the moraine you will arrive at the base of Curtis Ridge(7000'). Ascend the moderate snow slopes on the east side of the ridge to 8500'. At this point the slope steepens to an average of about 30 degrees and had patches of hard snow. A nice point is reached at about 10,000' or you can continue to point 10,284' (exposure on both sides of the ridge and some scrambling).

The trip to point 10,284' would make a good over night trip. There are plenty of good camp sites on the moraine near the base of the ridge.
