About Recent Trips

General Information

People always ask me where I go hiking or what's a good place to go hiking, so I thought I would create this page. In an attempt to accommodate everyone, I will occasionally break a trip into more than one possible destination.. The information and ratings for the recent trips are based only on my experience, estimates and research (assume they are my opinions). Please keep in mind that the conditions in the mountains can change dramatically in a short period of time and may have changed since I was there. The equipment and mountain skills are based on the conditions I witnessed at the time of the trip and will likely vary with changing conditions. I will try to provide information about the route and the conditions I encountered with some added items for entertainment purposes. Have fun and be safe!

Destination: The Climax of the trip

Date: The date(s) that I was on the trip

Difficulty: A "1" is easy enough for anyone who can walk and possibly even those who can't, "10" is for immortals.

Payoff: A "1" indicates I should have stayed home, "10" indicates I want to have my ashes spread there.

Starting Point: Where you start hiking

High Point: The highest point on the route (not necessarily the destination)

Round Trip Distance: Total estimated distance

Equipment: The equipment that was needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. Know how to use your equipment!

Mountain Skills: Skills that were needed for a safe trip
