If you made it to Comet Falls, then you might as well continue to Van Trump Park. Van Trump Park is another one of Mt. Rainier's wonderful meadow areas but is typically covered with snow until mid July. Follow the trail from Comet Falls for another 0.7 miles to the get to Van Trump park. This is a great place to explore and offers a goodt view of the mountain.
